TootyToot gives people who live near each other a private place to ask, offer and help.
Ask for local information, recommendations or practical help. You can also ask whether anyone can help with an informal lift.
Share useful information, offer an item, lend a hand or let neighbours know when you have a spare seat.
Reply to a post, send someone a message or offer practical help. There is no pressure to respond to every request.
Quiet Ask
Members can privately choose the ordinary things they may sometimes help with. When somebody makes a Quiet Ask, TootyToot invites a suitable approved neighbour one at a time. The request is not posted publicly, passes remain private, and names are revealed only after a helper accepts.
Quiet Ask is for small, non-urgent neighbourly requests. Exact addresses, contact details and personal circumstances should only be shared in private messages after both people choose to connect.
Most local activity is shared through community posts. Lifts have their own area so dates, times and journey details are easier to understand.
Community posts are intended for members of that community. Private details can be agreed directly through messages.
