Get notified by TootyToot

Add TootyToot to your phone, then switch on notifications so messages and community updates can reach you without repeatedly checking the site.

Apple

Add TootyToot to your iPhone

You can add TootyToot to your iPhone Home Screen so it works much like a normal app.

  1. Open TootyToot in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button—the square with the arrow pointing upwards.
  3. Scroll down and choose Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add.

You’ll now have a TootyToot icon on your Home Screen.

Turn on notifications

  1. Open TootyToot from your Home Screen.
  2. Open the hamburger menu (the three lines).
  3. Select Profile and Communities.
  4. Find the Notifications section and turn notifications on.
  5. If your iPhone asks for permission to send notifications, tap Allow.

That’s it. TootyToot can now let you know when you receive messages and other updates, without you having to keep checking the website.

Android

Add TootyToot to your Android phone

You can add TootyToot to your Home Screen so it works much like a normal app.

  1. Open TootyToot in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
  3. Choose Add to Home screen. On some phones this may say Install app.
  4. Tap Add or Install when asked.

You’ll now have a TootyToot icon on your Home Screen.

Turn on notifications

  1. Open TootyToot from your new Home Screen icon.
  2. Open the hamburger menu (the three lines).
  3. Select Profile and Communities.
  4. Find the Notifications section and turn notifications on.
  5. If your phone asks whether TootyToot can send you notifications, tap Allow.

That’s it. You’ll now be able to receive TootyToot messages and other community notifications on your phone, just like you would with a normal app.
