TootyToot is designed to be straightforward to use on a phone, tablet or computer, including with a keyboard and common assistive technology.

What we aim to support

Clear headings, labels and page structure.
Keyboard navigation with visible focus states.
Responsive layouts for phones, tablets and larger screens.
Text alternatives for meaningful images where the app provides them.
Forms with labels, helper text and validation messages.
Colour contrast intended to support readable text and controls.
Browser zoom and common built-in accessibility tools.

Where care is still needed

TootyToot is still evolving. Some newer areas may occasionally need refinement, especially around complex community workflows, uploaded images, or fast-moving admin tools. When that happens, we want to hear about it and fix it.

We do not claim formal certification or guarantee that every part of the service will work perfectly with every device, browser or assistive technology combination.

If something is hard to use

Tell us what page you were on, what device or browser you were using, and what went wrong. Screenshots are helpful when you can provide them, but they are not required.

We will use the information to investigate, prioritise fixes and improve the service for other members too.

Practical tips

Use your browser zoom if you need larger text.
Use messages rather than public posts for sensitive details.
On touch devices, wait for the visual pressed state before tapping again.
If a page behaves oddly, refresh once before reporting it.
